Floss Minder 3.0

Floss Minder 3.0 for Windows 95/98/NT/2K is a database program for cross-stitching and embroidery enthusiasts. It allows you to maintain details on all your threads, charts, and projects. You can print reports on; the threads you've run out of and need to buy again, the charts you can make with your existing stock of floss, and much more. As users request additional reports they will be added. You can even perform keyword searches on your charts. Floss Minder comes with Over 4,900 individual threads/beads from many different manufacturers including Anchor, Caron Collection, DMC, Kreinik, and Mill Hill to name a few. Registered users can download free thread updates to Floss Minder 3.0.

What's New in 3.0

I need to be totally honest with you, not a whole lot.  The main purpose of this upgrade is to address rampant software piracy of Floss Minder version 2.xx.  That's why Floss Minder 3.0 is a FREE upgrade for LEGALLY REGISTERED users of 2.xx.  That's also why we have created a new algorithm for Registration Numbers.  If you are upgrading from 2.xx then you will need to obtain and enter a NEW registration number.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  Below is a list of new features added to Floss Minder 3.0.

Type Manager

This new feature allows you to remove thread types that you no longer use.  In version 2.xx if you downloaded and updated your thread listings you were stuck with ALL of the threads in the update.

Floss Updates

When you choose to import from our Floss Updates database in version 3.0 you select only those thread types that you want updated.  You are no longer stuck importing All of the threads in the update.

Inventory Reports

Now you can choose whether or not you want descriptions included in your Thread Inventory reports.  You can use this new report WITHOUT descriptions to save substantially on the amount of paper you use.  For instance with DMC Embroidery Floss the report WITH descriptions takes 6 pages of paper to print.  WITHOUT the descriptions this same report takes only 2 pages of paper.
